Story
We are the alter egos of Michelle and Liz, Harmony and Destiny. We have been told that we look like Barbie (Super Blonde and Plastic Fantastic). It is sooooooooo wonderful to meet you.
We are taking part in the Fitted for Work Fashion Challenge and hoping to raise much needed funds for the wonderful work they do in providing free clothing and interview skills to women experiencing disadvantage and looking for work. Michelle (Harmony's alter ego) actually does volunteer work for Fitted for Work in their Boutique as a Presentation and Inteview skills consultant and she loves it! She is also involved in their mentor program for women transitioning to the work place.
Harmony and Destiny will be out in full force across the Melbourne during the whole of the Labour Day Weekend and during the whole of Easter (Michelle and Liz will not been seen during these times at all).....plus any social functions in between. We will be attending various events from the Xanadu concert to Moomba, to dinners, bars and dance clubs in St Kilda and other trendy Melbournian places, to doing day to day chores like shopping, walking the dog, getting petrol etc. We certainly hope to make quite a kerfuffle around the place.
For your pleasure we will be documenting this on Facebook, on this fundraising page, via e-mail and blogs. Soooooooo please support us and support this wonderful little cause!

Fitted for Work
Transform the lives of women experiencing disadvantage!
Fitted for Work is an innovative not-for-profit organisation and the first of its kind in Australia. Our vision is financial independence for women and our mission is to help women experiencing disadvantage get work and keep it. Since 2005 we have assisted over 12,000 courageous women step out of disadvantage and into work through our personal outfitting, transition to work and mentoring programs. Our services are practical and effective. Today 75% of the women we help get work within 3 months. We have sites in Melbourne, Morwell and Sydney. Women are referred to us by over 300 community partners. The women we assist face a variety of obstacles – they may be exiting a domestic violence situation, experiencing homelessness, temporarily experiencing ill-health that prevents them from working, have a disability or have become recently widowed or divorced. Many are single mothers who need to support themselves and their family. Every day our dedicated team of 14 staff and over 250 volunteers help women gain the self-esteem and confidence to achieve their goal of sustainable employment.,
